Homes Needed

As I've done research on our breed and talked to different people throughout the United States, it has come to my attention that there are many American Bulldogs of various ages that need homes.  I have also found many families who are willing to adopt an American Bulldog and give them a second chance on life.  As the state of Ohio views these wonderful animals as "vicious", most the local shelters must find a certified rescue or destroy any of our breed that are surrendered.  With the number of hits our website receives each day, I decided to develop a place where I could match families with these wonderful dogs who need homes.

These are NOT my dogs and have no association with my breeding program.  They either belong to a family who can no longer keep them or they have been rescued from a shelter.  I will ONLY be putting interested families or individuals in touch with those trying to rehome a dog.  It is an effort to keep dogs of our breed out of local shelters and alive.  Dogs or puppies listed on this page are not covered under our guarantee and all negotiations will be made with the care provider of each dog.  My goal is to provide a place to match homeless American Bulldogs and puppies with a forever family.  A way to help families who want to rescue find available dogs.

Hasso

Hasso is 7 years old this past Nov. 17th.  He averages 95 lbs in weight. We have had him since he was 10 weeks old. He likes to cuddle and at times thinks he is a lap dog.  He is very loving however he is very energetic and needs exercise.  He loves long walks and fetching and chasing a ball. He still acts like he is 3 years old. He doesn't chew on anything, is housebroken and fixed.  There was a time when he did not need a leash but since we have moved, we have a stake in the ground where we attach his leash he does his business and returns to come back inside. Although a big mighty dog he is definitely not an outside dog.  In the winter he shakes at the door til you let him in.  We have always caged him while at work, but he is out during the day once we are home and he sleeps out overnight on his own bed with at times his pillow and blanket. He has to have a loving family and/or would be perfect for a single girl or older person. He has only been around one other dog, an English Bulldog, but she passed away.  He would probably do best as an only pet as he likes his personal attention.

He is very protective but is getting older.  He enjoys older children, but doesn't always realize his strength and knocks over younger children.  He has a lot of love to give and needs a lot of attention and love back.  He really is an awesome friend, but he is still an AM bulldog so respect to him as to all is very important.

Will only consider the perfect situation for Hasso as we love him so much and will be hard to give him up, we only want what is best for him and want to make sure he is happy in  his new home

Jackson

Jackson was dumped at a County Dog Pound. He was purchased from a breeder by what the warden described as an older gentleman. He was apparently purchased for a hefty fee for a breeder before being dumped and is stated to be purebred.  This man was moving to a retirement community that wanted a $350 pet deposit and then additional pet rent each month. Since he was unable to afford it he took him to the shelter. Luckily the warden at this pound is one of the very few that loves the breed and wanted to make sure he got out of there alive.  He called me immediately and 24 hours later, he was out of there. I have had him at my house since Saturday. He's fat, soft, super sweet and just a happy puppy.

This boy is working on his house manners right now, he really doesn't have many to be honest, but he is a quick learner and takes correction like a champ. You could easily train him to learn many tricks as he is very food motivated!  He is a high energy dog so an active home would be best for him. He is about 4 months old, gets along well with other dogs and is curious about the cats. He looks like he might be interested in playing with the kitties, but mine unfortunately will teach him very quickly that they do not play with dogs! lol.

I keep puppies for 2 weeks to make sure they go through a quarantine period. He will be fully vetted prior to his adoption, including microchip and neuter.

Bacon

Bacon is approximately 9 months old and has been rescued from an abusive home that beat, starved and neglected him. He is currently up to date on all his shots, housebroken, recently neutered and ready to find his forever home who understand the responsibility of having a dog and even more so, the responsibility of owning a part pit bull. He is energetic and therefore requires a forever home that could provide a backyard for him to run and play. He is great with children of any age but may require supervision since he sometimes forgets his own srength and the power of his own tail! He gets along great with other dogs, but cats tend to frighten him. He is a loyal, loveable boy that still bears the emotional scars of his previous owner. Despite his past, he loves to cuddle and give kisses. He knows basic commands and listens quite well for the puppy that he is. He isn't looking for another temporary home.   His rehoming fee also includes his cage that he has used thorughout the various homes he has been in and has remained a sense of comfort to him.

Malachi & Jayden

I've been searching for some one that may love these Bulldogs as much as I do. I tear up every time I have to think about doing this. I have 2 American Bulldogs 1 Male "Malachi" & 1 female "Jayden" they are brother and sister neither have been fixed. I have been unable able to retrieve papers from the original owners but I'm sure of their breed. They just turned 4 and I have had them since they were just 3 mths old. My work is taking me away to a point where I won't be able to care for them the necessary way. They are great kids but I only have 1 week to find them a wonderful home.
Malachi is a male Very lovable. Very protective of his home and family. Very playful. He is very attention starved no matter how long you spend playing with him. Loves to sleep with the kids. Jayden is a female loves everyone always wants to play. They both enjoy keep away and light reflections. Malachi loves meeting people outside the house not fond of anyone other than his family in the home. To me they seem to have a good temperment. Very good watchdogs they will let you know the minute someone pulls in the driveway or if they are a sleep a simple knock on the door will alert them. If there are any specifics you would like to know please ask.  Thanks for your time and any help you can give.  I really don't want to have to put them in the local shelter.

Nana

This is Nana, a 5 year old female who's owner never thought they would have to part, but now is looking for the perfect home for her due to their situation. She has multiple registrations and has been bred once, but is past the breeding age, so her owner will be spaying her.   She loves people and adores children. She is very protective of her 3 year old owner, who can take her food, bones and toys right out of her mouth.  She's housebroken and loves to sleep in the bed with her family.

Nana's current owners are very concerned about find just the right home for her and require that her new family have acreage or a large fenced yard.  They would like for the new family to own their home, but will consider a family that rents after speaking to the owner of the home.  Nana has always been an inside dog and has never been on a chain.  She is normally ready to come back into the house after doing her business, but needs a safe place to get some exercise.

She gets along well with other animals, but plays a little rough with cats and smaller animals, so they may not be a good idea.   They just want someone to love her as much as they do!!
